Eldercare Education Center
In 1996, Elder Options created the first caregiver training program in Southwest Washington designed for care providers working in private homes and adult family homes. The Washington State Department of Social and Health 
Services started the state designed Fundamentals of Caregiving Certification Class in 1998. Elder Options is recognized as a certified Community Education Center teaching state sponsored classes with DSHS. We have trained thousands of students in both Longview and Vancouver in certification classes and continuing education classes.
We pride ourselves in hiring nurse instructors that specialize and have worked in long term care settings. The class is full of real life examples for the caregiver to be aware of, which gives the class a refreshing “real life” quality. Our classes are fun, interactive and meaningful to the student.
As State caregiver training regulations change January 1, 2011, we will be prepared to help students navigate the additional education and training that will be required. Refer to the calendar section of this web site for upcoming classes.
